

GYMNASTICS
March is almost here — and that means a new month of Gymnastics sessions is kicking off soon at The Edge!
As we (hopefully) begin transitioning out of winter and into spring, it’s still so important to keep kids active, moving, and building confidence. Gymnastics is a fun way for athletes to improve strength, coordination, flexibility, and body awareness — all while having a blast!
Melissa Westerheide will continue covering classes for Tasha Goettemoeller during her pregnancy.
BEGINNER SESSION:
WHEN: 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24 & 3/31 @ 5:15-6:15pm
WHAT: For those who are brand new here & have zero tumbling experience. In this class, we will mainly focus on strength, balance, and flexibility and work on the starting basics such as forward rolls, bridges, backbends & handstands.
***Must have a backbend before moving to the Intermediate level.

INTERMEDIATE SESSION:
WHEN: 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24 & 3/31 @ 6:15-7:15pm
WHAT: In this class, students will refine their basic tumbling skills & continue to increase their strength and flexibility. We will work on skills such as cartwheels, 1 handed cartwheels, starting aerials, round-offs, handstand/handstand pops, front limbers, front/back walkovers, starting front/back handsprings & we will also start learning the basics of running tumbling.

ADVANCED SESSION:
WHEN: 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24 & 3/31 @ 7:15pm-8:15pm
WHAT: In this class students will continue focusing on building strength, power and flexibility to execute high-level appropriate tumbling passes with control and finesse. We will work on skills such as front/back handsprings, sequence back handsprings, running tumbling, aerials, back tucks, back layouts etc.
